There are a variety of treatments for breast cancer and the diagnosis process. People can also need to take medicines and breast cancer surgery as per the condition. Various diagnosis and treatment processes of breast cancer can be found in the following article:

    Breast Cancer Diagnosis Types

There are several breast cancer diagnosis types. Here some of the most common diagnosis types are given below:

    • Breast exam: In a breast exam, a doctor will check for the lymph nodes in the armpit, any lumps, or other abnormalities.
    • Mammogram: A mammogram is generally an x-ray that helps to screen breast cancer. If a mammogram can find any abnormalities in the breast, the doctor recommends a diagnostic mammogram.
    • Breast Ultrasound: Ultrasound takes images from inside of the body. It also detects whether the lymph node is a solid mass or fluid-filled cyst.
    • Biopsy: The biopsy is one of the definitive ways of diagnosing breast cancer. In this process, the doctor will generally use a particular needle device to take out the core tissue from the affected area. Sometimes a metal marker is also used to identify the room quickly for future imaging tests.
    • Breast MRI: MRI is also a way to screen the inside pictures of the breast. Before the test, you will get a dye injection. The only difference in MRI tests is that it doesn’t use radiation to create images.

    Possible Treatments Of Breast Cancer

Once you are diagnosed with breast cancer, you will be given the below treatments. In that case, the doctor evaluates the condition of the breast and refers you to the following treatment:

    • Surgery: Through breast cancer surgery, the tumour is taken out of the body. In that case, lumpectomy removes the affected part from the body.
    • Radiation Therapy: Radiation therapy generally uses high-energy waves to kill cancerous cells. At the age of 70 or above, a patient can also get radiation even after the surgery.
    • Chemotherapy: Doctors generally refer you to drugs to kill the cancer cell in chemotherapy, and this process is usually done after surgery to treat the remaining cancer cells in the body.
    • Hormone Therapy: Certain drugs can prevent the production of estrogen hormone. Doctors can also prescribe therapy to stop the ovary from making hormones in this process.

    Conclusion

There are also several types of treatment so that you can choose yours. But breast cancer surgery has proved to be one of the most effective methods for removing breast cancer. Before choosing one, talk with your doctor to discuss each treatment’s possible risks and benefits and choose the best per your lifestyle and need.
